Ed Chapman Obituary, Death – Edward Chapman, who resided in Central and was the spouse of Carolyn Chapman, passed away He was 78 years old. He was the son of the late Claud Chapman and Lola Dacus Chapman, and he was born in La France, South Carolina. Edward was a student who had a strong passion for history. As a result, he devoted a lot of his time and energy to studying it. Tri County Technical College awarded him a number of diplomas, he graduated from Hunter Engineering in St. Louis, Missouri, he became a licensed pilot after completing White’s Aviation School and Road Away Helicopter School in Mesa, Arizona, both of which are located in the United States.
After 49 years of service, he retired from the company that was formerly known as Tom Chapman Tire Service and was afterwards known as Tread Systems and, upon retiring, Retreads Unlimited, Inc. Edward attended the Clemson United Methodist Church regularly throughout his life. Both he and his wife, Carolyn, took pleasure in tending to their farm and living the country life. They also found that going to different countries, learning about different cultures, and getting to know the people by visiting them in their homes provided them with a great deal of satisfaction.
Above all else, Edward treasured the time he could spend with his loved ones. Tent camping during a week spent at John C. Campbell Blacksmith School with his grandson Joseph was an experience that he holds dear to his heart and considers to be one of his most cherished memories. After he retired, one of the things he looked forward to the most was spending time with his great-grandchildren.
During their 61 years of marriage, Edward was a devoted and loving husband to his wife Carolyn. He was the father of Joe, the grandpa of Joseph (Amber), and the great-grandfather of Teagan, Ryker, and Slade. Joe was his son. Joseph was his grandson.
