Dritha McCoy Obituary, Dritha McCoy Has Sadly Passed Away

Dritha McCoy Obituary, Death– The news that Dritha McCoy had passed away unexpectedly the previous night came to light this morning. On Friday, we were only able to communicate with one another through text messages; looking back, I can’t believe I didn’t contact her to hear her voice when I had the opportunity to do so since I’m really punishing myself for not doing so.

She expressed her sorrow in a text message that she had sent, saying that the death of their mother had left “such empty holes in our life.” I have not been provided with any explanation as to why it was essential for her to give up on me at this point in time.

She was a friend of both my mother and me, and together we formed the intellectual and emotional foundation for what became known as “The Wednesday Sisters.” She was a member of the tiny group. The name “The Wednesday Sisters” was given to this particular group. I am grateful that my mother had a friend who was on par with her in terms of quality, and that this same friend was also one of the people who was most close to me.

She was a one-of-a-kind woman in every sense of the word. She had possessed a remarkable ability for the arts for as long as anyone can remember, but it wasn’t until her latter years that she started making what she referred to as her “people.” These “people” are works of art that are extremely stunning in their beauty; they are fashioned from wonderful wood, beads, shells, cloth, and I don’t even know what else. The beauty of these “people” is absolutely astounding. There are now displayed here two of them.

During the time that we were living in Northbrook, her children, all of whom are now adults and are named Jarvey, Duffy, Casey, and little Amy, lived directly across the street from us. I would provide them with babysitting services while we were there. Since we moved to a new city, I don’t get to see them as much as I used to. How incredibly painful it is to be raised by someone other than your own mother.
