Don Bruce Obituary, Death – Donald Patrick Bruce, a devoted father who was endowed with two beautiful children, passed away at the age of 58 while he was at ease in the residence he shared with his family. Don Bruce was welcomed into the world by his parents, Bob and Dolores Bruce, on March 17, 1963. He was their first child. He worked for the Ministry of Correctional Services and volunteered for the fire department, both with the intention of devoting his life to the service of others. He ended up making a large number of friends along the way, many of whom are still in his life to this day.
Don was a health and fitness buff to a fault. When he was younger, he competed in power lifting and won the Canadian championship. He then went on to become a champion in other countries’ power lifting competitions and traveled the world to promote the sport. He was renowned for his affable nature, his wicked sense of humor, and the unending love he had for his progeny, all of which helped make him famous.
Don’s great-grandparents William and Mary Bruce, Lena Korzenoski, and Aunts Laura, Nora, and Mary, as well as Uncles Ambrose, Wilfred, and Gordon, all passed away before Don did. Also preceding Don in death were Aunts Laura, Nora, and Mary. He is survived by his two children, Kallista Sarah Bruce and Kaitlyn Mary Bruce, as well as by his brother Robert and his wife Barbara, his brother Richard, his aunts Lucy and Mildred, his nieces Lindsay and Courtney, and his companion Winston, a good dog. He is also survived by his brother Richard.
