Dewayne Kinslow Death, Obituary – Dewayne Tommy Kinslow, who had spent the most of his 58 years in Munfordville, Kentucky, passed away in his home in a quiet and peaceful manner on Monday, January 9, 2023. He was 58 years old. He was an active member of the congregation at the Church of God of Prophecy in Glen Lily, and he regularly attended services there. He has a history of serving as a deputy with the Hart County Sheriff’s Office, having done so in the past under the leadership of both Sheriff Lesenby and Sheriff Wilson.
Both of them law enforcement authorities served in the capacity of his previous supervisors. He was outgoing and friendly, and in his spare time he enjoyed going fishing and giving his automobiles a complete detail job. He was given the names of his late parents, Wayne Kinslow and Peggy McCorkle, after they passed away. Before he was born, neither of his parents were there to welcome him into the world. His sister, Gayle Lile, who passed away before he did, is buried in front of him in the cemetery.

Edna Kinslow, the woman he had been married to for the past three decades, his two sons, Jacob Kinslow of Upton, Kentucky and Michael Chesser of Arizona; his daughter Jessica Monroe and her husband Chris of Horse Cave, Kentucky; his five grandchildren, Addie Kinslow, Hailey Jewell (Daniel), Katlyn Johnson, Taelor Chesser, and Dominick Chesser; and three sisters, Lou Bennett of Cave City, Kentucky, Ann Bennett.
At the Brooks Funeral Home, the family will greet visitors on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM CT, and then again on Thursday, January 12, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM CT. Both of these times are in the Central Time zone. The Central Time zone will be used for both of the visitation times. Both of the visitation hours will be conducted in accordance with the Central Time zone. Funeral services will be place on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at one o’clock in the afternoon Central Time (CT) at the Brooks Funeral Home. Junior Murphy and Sharon Prather will serve as the officiants for the event. The interment will take place in Weldon Cemetery just after the funeral ceremonies have concluded for the deceased.
