Deptford Police Shooting – New Jersey, A man was shot and killed by police officers in South Jersey on a Sunday afternoon over the course of an engagement that took place there. The announcement that the New Jersey Attorney General’s Office would be opening an investigation into the fatal shooting that took place along Fox Run Road in Deptford, which is located in Gloucester County, came late in the day from the office of the New Jersey Attorney General. The shooting took place in the early afternoon.
Even though the investigation was just getting started, the AG’s office has indicated that it has evidence that police officers from Deptford responded to a home after receiving a call to 911 from a resident there. At around 1:12 p.m., an officer fired his service weapon, causing a male victim to sustain injuries, as stated in a news statement published by the office of the Attorney General. “At 1:55 p.m., it was established that the individual had passed away at the site,” the statement read, “Emergency medical personnel came to the location to render help to the injured male,”
In the beginning, the only piece of information that the Deptford Township Police Department released on their Facebook page was the fact that Fox Run Road had been shut down as a result of an ongoing investigation. The Attorney General’s Office did not provide any further information in its response. Please accept our sincere regrets if you have been injured in any way over the course of the past year.
