Debby Sparks Death, Obituary – The final chapter of Debby Sparks’s life has been written. This is really striking a chord with us on a very fundamental level. Debby was a genuine force of nature and exuded an incredible amount of vitality. She was the one who ultimately hired us at South Intermediate, and my interview with her was the most nerve-wracking experience we’ve ever had for a job interview. Throughout the whole of our contact, she consistently kept us on my toes and compelled us to take the initiative by going on the offensive.
Before she ended the interview, she told him, “We have a few more individuals to interview, but unless one of them knocks our socks off, you’ve got the job!” First things first, we sent in my application for the job, and the rest, as they say, is history. We continued to communicate with one another even after she had relocated away from the South. Even when we were purchasing our third piece of real estate, which occurred many years ago, she continued to act as our real estate agent.
You should know, Debby, that you will always have a very special place in my heart. We can’t imagine my life without you. You made us feel liked, appreciated, and like we are an important person. We “got” you and you “got” us! You put up a brave fight against ALS, and you were able to keep your composure right up until the end. You have never done anything to lead us to believe that we should expect anything less from you. When we can no longer read your humorous and frequently biting posts, we’re going to be so disappointed that we won’t be able to read them anymore. You were one in a million, and after your demise, God will no doubt have a beautiful angel to look after him. We are looking forward to remembering your life on Thursday and then, if the Lord wills it, hopefully running into you again in the not-too-distant future.
