David Rayner Obituary, Bottisham Airfield Museum mourns David Rayner death

David Rayner Obituary, Death – I’m sorry to be the one to tell you all this, but David Rayner passed away recently. It is with great regret that I must proceed in this manner. David, who was soundly sleeping and at peace, passed away over the course of the weekend. Not only was he a dear friend of mine, but he also served on the board of trustees alongside me and was a significant donor to the museum. He will be greatly missed by everyone.

He had a wonderful sense of humor, genuine humility, and the ability to communicate effectively with people of all levels. He was blessed with all of these gifts. Even when he was in his 90s, he never lost his remarkable work ethic, and his dedication to ensuring the success of the museum was without equal.

Even as recently as Thursday, he was here with us formulating plans for the future; as a befitting tribute to the most incredible man who ever lived, we will do everything in our power to bring those plans to fruition. David Rayner was a wonderful and remarkable man, and his life has had an impact on the lives of a large number of people, in a variety of different ways, which has led to the lives of those people being improved.

A true gentleman who possesses an incredible sense of humor and is extremely generous with both his time and the financial contributions that he makes to causes that are in significant need. There will be a big hole in our hearts here at the Bottisham Airfield Museum because of your departure. We salute you Sir!
