Daniel Gordon Obituary, Death – Condolences are pouring in for Daniel Gordon on social media. Some were referred by family friends, while others were referred by blood relatives. Gordon’s death in 2023 was deeply felt by everyone who knew and loved him, especially Khameron Howell-Ell and Andrea Davis. “He made you want to be a better human… made you want to do better for yourself,” Howell-Ell remarked. Gordon, 24, was their high school classmate.
“He made many people chuckle. He, like the school clown, was the class clown.” Davis went on to say that it wasn’t only his own class. “Daniel was polite and entertaining. Everyone who encountered him was smitten by him. His presence improved the mood. He was an activist for peace. “He was all about working hard and providing for those he cared about,” his girlfriend, Amari Bowden, said. Gordon was shot and died while working at Tires Plus on DeKalb Industrial Way on New Year’s Eve.
Quadarius McDowell, 30, is suspected of murdering Gordon. He appeared in front of a court on Monday. McDowell had his car serviced and then shot Gordon after seeing him get into his car and incorrectly believing he was attempting to steal it, according to DeKalb County Police. “I wish you could all meet Daniel as I know him. Because of his personality, he should have been the one speaking in front of the camera. He wasn’t afraid to put himself out there, and he was cheerful and lively. “He didn’t deserve it,” Bowden went on to say.
Gordon’s fiancée mentioned that, despite having a Bachelor of Science from Fort Valley State University, he had a knack for working on cars. “That was simply something he enjoyed doing, and he died doing what he enjoyed,” Bowden went on. Bowden stated that he did not condone violence and that his death was unexpected by his friends and family. “It’s sad because you lost someone you knew and shared experiences with, but it’s also sad because he didn’t do anything wrong. Every day, we go to work, certain that we are doing so to make a living and survive. He went to work the next day, and it was the polar opposite. “It’s in shambles,” Davis observed.
On Monday, no bond was set for McDowell. While Gordon’s friends are glad he was detained, they believe it should never have happened in the first place. “It’s no longer a case of wrong time, wrong location,” Howell-Ell explained. “You just have to be cautious; it’s quite safe, but you never know.” Life Celebration Hillingdale Memorial Gardens 6201 Hillandale Dr Lithonia, GA 30058 Columbia Drive United Methodist Church 2067 Columbia Drive Decatur, GA 30032 Saturday, January 14, 2023 Time of service: 12 p.m. A memorial service will be held at church for family and friends.
