The natural curiosity that Dan possessed motivated him to continue education beyond the high school level. Bevin was the woman he would eventually marry. They have been together for twelve years, and in spite of the highs and lows that have occurred during that time, they have never stopped showing their undying affection for one another. The connection that they had was much deeper and more meaningful than anything that Hollywood could have fabricated to make it appear as though they had something unique in common. Dan was a man who had a deep love and respect for the natural world, and he felt an especially strong connection to the Rocky Mountains.
Dan was a man who had a profound love and respect for the natural world. Those who had a strong relationship with Dan were aware of Dan’s one-of-a-kind sense of humor and his ability to engage in verbal jousting with the best of them. Dan was also capable of holding his own in a verbal duel with the best of them. During the short span of his life, Dan exemplified the characteristics that make people the most worthy of admiration. It was very clear that he possessed the characteristics of empathy, kindness, and selflessness. He would fight ardently for social justice and equality, and he would provide his assistance to children in other parts of the world who faced fewer obstacles in their daily lives.
