The only people who will remember him are his devoted wife Judy Zachary, together with their three children, Vicki Alexander Schlager, Daniel Zachary, and Suzanne Doman. He has ten grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. Dan’s parents are Michael Zachary and Clara Zachary, and he was born in the city of Chicago, which is located in the state of Illinois. He was the ninth of a total of ten children in the family. The only members of his family to have made it through life are his sister Elizabeth Hansen, his sister Katherine Grefsheim, and his brother Ralph Zachary.
As a member of the United States Air Force, he did his country proud by serving his country during the combat in Korea. In 1956, he tied the knot with Judy Zachary, and the couple has now been married for a combined total of fifty-eight years. In 1956, they uprooted their lives and moved to Richland, where they settled into a community that was bustling with life and full with things that catered to their individual and shared interests. During the time that he worked for the Department of Energy, he served in the capacity of a safety engineer. Dan was the type of person who was constantly on the move and cherished spending time in nature.
In his spare time, he enjoyed going on fishing and hunting trips, playing golf and bowling, and solving riddles. He was an avid gardener who frequently shared the fruits of his labor with his family, friends, and neighbors by giving out fresh veggies. Dan was widely regarded as an exceptionally talented artist who made his work available without charge so that others could take pleasure in it. He has a great deal of experience in the fields of illustration and poetry.
It was when he was listening to music and dancing with his wife that he felt the most joy in his life. Throughout his entire life, Dan has been an active member of the VFW post 7952. In addition to that, he was a member of the Moose lodge, the American Legion, and the National American Revolutionary Front (NARF). He was a generous member of the community who shared his many gifts with others around him.
