Carol Fennelly Obituary, Resident of Iowa Carol Fennelly Has Died

Carol Fennelly Obituary, Death –  Carol Fennelly, age 85, passed away on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at her home in Davenport, Iowa, surrounded by her family. Funeral services are scheduled at the Halligan-McCabe-DeVries Funeral Home in Davenport on Wednesday, January 18, 2023, at 11 a.m. On Wednesday, visitation will begin at 9:30 a.m. and continue until the time of the service. Davenport’s Mount Calvary Cemetery will be the location of the interment. Donations to the Handicapped Development Center, Davenport Junior Theatre, or Genesis Hospice can be made in lieu of flowers.

On January 26, 1937, Carol Marie Dreier was brought into the world by her parents, Dorothy and Henry Dreier. On June 16, 1956, she wed Bill Fennelly and became Mrs. Fennelly. On the 11th of December, 2019, he passed away before she did.

Carol was a devoted wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her. She cherished her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and centered her life around them. She and her husband, Bill, kept their door open for visitors at all times, and they delighted in the daily presence of her children. Carol had a strong passion for shopping, and she was constantly on the lookout for the next amazing deal and new ways to spoil her grandchildren.

Carol is survived by her husband Bill and her four children: Pat (Kelley), Mike (Ann), and Kelly (Dave) Coiner, all of Davenport; her niece Kathy (Gene) Schwarz; her grandchildren: Megan (Mike) Rieck, Billy (Lyndsey), Michelle (Nick) Gibbs, Steven (Andrea), Tyler (Stefanie) Coiner, Trevor, Jake (Abbey), Zachary Coiner, Kate (Gabe) Lorack

She was preceded in death by her parents, a sister named Elaine Sweeney, as well as the extended Fennelly family, in addition to her husband, Bill, who passed away first. May God grant them eternal rest. The Fennelly family would like to express their gratitude to their friend and physician Myra Daniel, caretakers Tree and Dee, as well as their friend Glady, for the compassionate care and support that they have provided to Carol.
