Carl Meter Obituary, Death – It is with a heavy heart that I must inform you that Carl Van Meter, the man who established the Buffalo Ranch, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2023. His name was Carl. Carl was well-known for a number of things in addition to simply discussing his passion for his buffalo. Carl started out as an educator and eventually became the principal of Roosevelt Middle School in Monticello, Indiana, where he served for a number of years. In addition to that, he established and led the Alternative School in Monticello and was a member of other boards during the course of his life.
Carl was a man who was intelligent, full of love, caring, and sharing with others. When I married his youngest son, he welcomed me into his family with open arms. We intend to continue taking care of his bison herd for as long as we are able in the hopes of making him proud.
On the 11th of January 2023, there will be a time for people to pay their respects to Carl at the Miller – Roscka Funeral Home in Monticello, Indiana. In honor of Carl Van Meter, memorial contributions can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. Envelopes will be available for purchase at this location, the Miller – Roscka Funeral Home, or they can be mailed to the following address: 6368 E. US 24, Monticello, Indiana, 47960.
We are grateful to each and every one of you for the love and support that you have shown the Buffalo Ranch.
