Carl Clay Obituary, Death – Carl Clay, a local of Campbells Creek who had reached the age of 78 at the time of his passing, passed away on October 11, 2022. He was a resident of Campbells Creek. It had been his home for the previous 78 years. While he was still employed there, he was acknowledged for his 50 years of service to the organization by being presented with a pin honoring the milestone. He worked as a boilermaker for Local 667 up to the time of his retirement from the company. In addition to that, he participated in the life of the Springfork Missionary Baptist Church for a considerable amount of time and made important contributions.
Carl was a man who was successful in a wide variety of undertakings because of the extensive skill set he possessed and the multitude of abilities he possessed. In addition to being a devoted supporter of the Campbells Creek Women’s Club, he was also one of the first members to join the Campbells Creek Lions Club when it was first established. In addition to that, he played a significant role in the formation of the Campbells Creek Lions Club. Before he left, his family had already moved out, including his mother and father, Carl and Rita Arnold Clay, as well as his brother, Charles Clay, and his sister, Sue Lyle. He was the only member of his immediate family that had made it through life.
