Cambria Heights Shooting – Two high school students, a boy and a girl, were shot outside of a high school in the borough of Queens on Wednesday afternoon, according to a statement that was released by a spokesman for the New York Police Department (NYPD). The high school in question is located in the district of Queens. At approximately 4:50 p.m., a bullet reportedly pierced the right ankle of a 16-year-old girl who was walking in the neighborhood of 207th Street near 116th Avenue and Linden Boulevard, according to the police. The female was in the vicinity of Linden Boulevard and 207th Street.
The young lady was out for a stroll in the neighborhood surrounding Linden Boulevard and 116th Avenue. The young man, who was 14 years old and had been shot, was found to have a hole in his right leg. The wound had been caused by a bullet. According to the authorities, both adolescents were transported to separate hospitals so that they could receive the necessary medical attention. It was stated by the authorities that both of their conditions were considered as being stable, and both of them agreed with this judgment. According to a spokeswoman of the New York Police Department, a firearm was located and taken into custody at the scene of the incident.
The inquiry has also resulted in the police being successful in apprehending a person of interest in the case.
