Beth Connolly Death, Obituary – The Loanhead Bowling Club would like to express its deepest condolences to the Connolly family on the passing of Beth Connolly, who had served as the club’s lady president in the past. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. The absence of her in many people’s life will have a significant and deep impact. After raising her children and being there for them with a smile, some treats, and a warm embrace throughout their childhood, Bette made the decision in the early 1970s to return to the line of work she had held prior to becoming a mother.
Given her great competence, it was only natural for her to seek for managerial responsibilities. Nevertheless, in spite of her extensive expertise, she was informed on multiple occasions that the role would be going to a male candidate who had applied for it. This news left her feeling disheartened and frustrated. Early on in her career, Bette held a variety of contracting positions; nevertheless, she was ultimately successful in regaining employment as a manager for the Federal Government. She worked at Employment and Immigration Canada for a total of 20 fruitful years until she took her well-deserved retirement in 1993, demonstrating the persistence that would come to be one of her distinguishing characteristics.
She retired in 1993. She modeled admirable behavior for her grandchildren to imitate by behaving in this manner in front of them.
