Andres Torres Obituary, 35-year-old Dumas Man on Motorcycle Dead After Two-vehicle Crash in Moore County

Andres Torres Obituary, Death – A collision that took place early on Friday morning in Moore County and featured two autos was the cause of death for a man who was riding a motorcycle and who was from Dumas. The collision also involved two automobiles. The incident occurred in the dead of night when no one was awake. Andres Enrique Ricardo Torres, 35, was riding an eastbound 2003 Yamaha motorcycle on the United States Highway 87 approximately two miles west of Dumas at approximately 7:00 a.m. today when he was involved in an accident, according to the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT). Torres was traveling in the eastbound lanes of the highway. Torres was navigating the traffic going in the direction of the eastbound lanes. On the roadway at the time of the collision, Torres was heading in the direction that eastbound traffic was moving.

Torres was driving a 2010 Jeep Liberty westbound on U.S. 87 at about that time when he caused an accident that included the Jeep by failing to yield to oncoming traffic and failing to offer the right-of-way. The collision also involved another vehicle. There was a Jeep engaged in the incident. The collision between the two vehicles was caused by Torres’ failed attempt to turn left in front of the Jeep, which was in the path of both vehicles. Both vehicles were headed in the same direction. Both cars were going to collide with the Jeep since it was in their way. Torres, who was wearing a helmet when he was taken to the hospital following the accident, ultimately succumbed to the injuries he sustained as a direct result of the incident that took place there and was pronounced dead as a consequence of those injuries. As a direct consequence of the event, there was not a single another person who was reported to have been injured.
