Amber Monty Obituary, Burlington Residence Mourns Amber Monty’s Death

Amber Monty Obituary, Death – Amber Gail Monty, 42, died suddenly at her home on January 8, 2023. Amber Monty, the daughter of Raymond and Jean Monty, was born on April 12, 1980 in Bellows Falls, Vermont. Amber, the first of Ray and Jean’s seven children, accepted her role as pack leader, a ferocious defender who always stood up for people she loved. Amber lived and went to school in Bellows Falls before moving to Burlington, Vermont.

Amber was a big fan of country music. Luke Combs’ “Beautiful Crazy” is her favorite song. She enjoyed riding on back dirt roads with her children, sunflowers, Fireball Whiskey, purchasing new stationery materials, and being surrounded by friends. Amber had a large circle of acquaintances and discovered her destiny as a mentor to younger ladies in need. Amber was actively involved with Mercy Connections in Burlington, Vermont

She assisted in the planning of community events such as coat drives and harvest banquets. Amber had a unique personality that you will never forget. She was loud, talkative, and some might even say… fiery. Amber loved with everything she had, and her love will live on in the hearts of those who survived her.

Amber is survived by her children, Lucy Burns of Keene, NH, and Joel Chickering Jr. of Walpole, NH, her parents, Raymond Monty of Alstead, NH, and Jean Vancor of Cambridgeport, VT, her siblings, Heidi Monty of Bellows Falls, VT, Jessica Monty (Jay) of Langdon, NH, Raymond Monty (Krista) III, Jed Monty, and Alicia Monty all of Bellows Falls Amber’s grandparents, Raymond and Kathryn Monty, Norman and Barbara Vancor, and her aunts, Cathy Furgat and Lisa Vancor, predeceased her.

Calling hours will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Saturday, January 21, 2023, at the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home, 55 Westminster Street, Bellows Falls, VT. The Bellows Falls Moose Lodge will host a celebration. Donations in Amber’s name can be made to Mercy Connections, 255 South Champlain St #8, Burlington, VT 05401. The arrangements have been handed to the Fenton and Hennessey Funeral Home.
